On October 20 (local time), Super Micro Computer (SMCI) stated in a preliminary performance announcement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that it expects revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (July–September 2026) to range between $18.5 billion and $19.5 billion, significantly higher than the $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion guidance range previously provided in August.

Super Micro Computer attributed the upward revision in revenue primarily to the sustained strengthening of demand for AI platforms. The company mainly supplies AI servers and data center systems equipped with NVIDIA GPUs. As global technology giants continue to expand their investments in AI data centers, server orders and delivery schedules have accelerated.
